Wool From Our Sheep

At Silver Valley Farm, we enjoy caring for our sheep and in turn they provide us with a wool fleece each year. We select only the best fleeces to deliver to a woolen mill in the Midwest to be cleaned, carded and spun into roving or yarn. For hand spinners, we offer raw wool fleeces from our Blue Faced Leicester ewes as well as roving (clean, carded wool) that is ready to spin into yarn. For knitters, our yarn may be purchased in natural white, brown-gray blend or beautiful hand dyed colors. It comes in 2 to 4 oz. skeins, sport, worsted or bulky weights. If you’re interested in purchasing local, quality yarn that was grown in Indiana from our sheep farm, please visit us at Four Seasons Local Market in Crawfordsville, IN.
